An Internal Cannabinoid-Signaling System Regulates Human Sperm, Fertilization Potential, Study Finds; Abusing Marijuana May Overload System, Inhibit Fertility

This one would seem to tie together articles from that past two days that seemed to say the exact opposit of one another... it seems that cannabinoids will both inhibit and aid sperm motility depending on the circumstance.  Dynamite reading here.

An Excerpt:
SAN FRANCISCO -- A cellular signaling system that responds to THC, the active substance in marijuana, as well as to anandamide, a cannabinoid-like molecule normally produced in the body, may regulate sperm functions required for fertilization in humans, a study headed by scientists from the University at Buffalo has found.

In addition, the findings suggest that men and women who abuse marijuana could jeopardize fertility by overloading this natural cannabinoid signaling system that regulates sperm structure, vigor and fertility...

  1. Most tests done on this are old and the circumstances they were conducted in are always quite vague :) nice read anyhow

  23. I've always looked at endocannabinoids from a neurological perspective, but never with respect to reproduction. I'd suggest "Endocannabinoid Signaling in the Brain" by Wilson and Nicoll for some light reading on the topic as well.

It's not saying that smoking marijuana will have a negative effect on your sex drive, it's stating that smoking marijuana will increase/decrease the chances of conceiving a child depending on how much you smoke.
